World Languages

Eldorado PK-8 offers Spanish as the middle school world language, with sequential courses Spanish 1A and Spanish 1B. These classes help students develop practical communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while building cultural awareness of Spanish‑speaking communities.

Students will engage in conversational practice, vocabulary development, and age‑appropriate grammar study through interactive activities, short projects, and real‑world tasks. Lessons emphasize speaking and comprehension so learners can use language for everyday situations, travel, and future study. Cultural units highlight traditions, music, food, and stories from diverse regions to deepen global understanding.

By completing Spanish 1A and 1B, students will gain a strong foundation for continued language study and broaden their ability to connect with others across cultures. Explore more about course expectations, materials, and ways families can support language learning at home.
