What is Gale in Context?

Gale in Context is a suite of student-friendly research databases available to all BVSD students this year! Students may select the appropriate option (see below) to find reliable, easy to navigate information to use in their research.

What databases are available to me?

  • Elementary: Learn about animals, plants, music, science, sports, and more
     
  • Middle School: Academic articles, images, topic selections, and more for middle schoolers
     
  • Biography: Biographical and contextual information on notable people throughout history
     
  • Science: Academic articles, videos, experiments, and more
     
  • Opposing Viewpoints: Continuously updated information and opinions cover hot issues
     
  • Global Issues: International academic perspectives on global issues
     
  • U.S. History: Academic articles, videos, primary documents, and more on topics in U.S. history
     
  • World History: Academic articles, videos, case studies, and more on topics in world history
     
  • Environmental Studies: Academic articles, videos, case studies, and more on topics in environmental studies

How do I access these resources?

1. Look for the Gale in Context icon on your BVSD portal

2. Select Eldorado PK-8 from the list.

3. Choose the database you want to use.

4. If prompted, the password is:  boulder
